Keon Park Children’s Hub is a community centre in Reservoir that brings together individuals, families and communities of all ages in the area. Over the Term 2 and Term 3 school holidays, we facilitated a total of four art programs for children aged 2-12 and their carers and parents, focusing on fun, creativity, collaboration and community. 

Over the four days, the community created a visual ‘Welcome Wall’ for the entrance to the centre and painted some pebble pals to take home and sprinkle through the garden. We transformed and upcycled preloved frames from opp shops in the surrounding areas and also created stained glass tissue paper artworks to bring colour into the community’s homes. One of the final works we did as a community were city-scapes and sea-scapes that, together with many of the other artworks, were able to be put up throughout the hub to bring colour, connection and imagination to the multigeneration space.
