Juno is an organisation that works with women, gender diverse people and children in Melbourne’s north who are experiencing homelessness or family violence. 

We were invited by Juno to facilitate a drop-in creative wellbeing session for women and non-binary people, including current and past clients with lived experience of homelessness and family violence. The session ran alongside a community vaccination pop-up, with adults and their children coming and going throughout the day.

Our intention was to create a calm, flexible and non-clinical space for people to pause, create and connect. Activities were inspired by the theme of spring, inviting people to explore strength, growth and transformation through gentle, playful making. We also created a collective artwork and offered an optional gift-exchange, giving everyone a chance to connect and share without any pressure.
